Given that Pavonis Interactive has decided not to port LW2 to WOTC[www.pavonisinteractive.com], members of the community have taken up the torch instead. I managed to get a head start on them by doing this as soon as Pavonis made the announcement, so here it is.
I have tested it a good amount, but due to the fact that the LWOTC team needs it for development, I’ve decided to release it early. If any problems surface, be sure to let me know. Should support hero classes from WOTC just fine.

Detailed Soldier Lists – will override the detailed soldier list info when adding a soldier to a mission during squad select.

This mod adds a development path for XCOM soldiers in the Guerrilla Training School, allowing them to train special perks that benefit the entire squad. But only one leader at a time can go on a mission, so be careful whom you select for the training!
Notes: A soldier must be sergeant rank or greater to train as a leader. Each additional rank above sergeant in their primary classes enables them to train one additional leader level. Each leader level must be trained in the Guerilla Tactics School.
Soldiers entering leader training will have their primary weapon unequipped so others may use it. This mod also clears the current squad to enforce the one-leader-per-mission mechanism; it adds an autofill button that will autoselect your top soldiers in a new squad.
If after an update you are getting issues, you should exit the game and REGENERATE YOUR INI files by deleting all files in DocumentsMy GamesXCOM2XComGameConfig. These will be recreated on your next game start. (Additional tip: You can preserve your options settings by NOT deleting XComEngine.ini in this directory.) This mod does not support controllers.
DO NOT LOAD THIS MOD WITH LONG WAR 2. Long War 2 is for the original XCOM 2 and will set your computer on fire maybe, okay probably not, if you load it in WOTC.
Q – Can you make this compatible with Detailed Soldier Lists or RPGO?
A – No. I would have to absorb one or the other of those mods’ changes. The squad select soldier lists are cosmetic for them – in the case of RPGO, very importantly cosmetic, but still cosmetic – whereas in Leader Pack, the soldier list actually serves a function: it sets other leaders disabled if you already have a leader on a mission. This is intended, and I will not remove that functionality.
Q – That sucks! I’m not gonna use this mod!
A – Good. I don’t use this mod either, anymore. I worked on RPGO with Musashi and vastly prefer that mod. I will still support Leader Pack as best I can for those who still use it, but I am not one of those people.
P.S. Commander Shepard with the Collector perk may be my favorite irony.
