Description:
With new threats looming, Saya unleashes a greater power!

Saya Suzuki, the last Guardian of her world, was thrust into the world of Rivals of Aether by an unknown force, taken to the depths to The Road Between Nothingness, Saya awakens her hidden potential to take on whatever comes next!

New Mechanic – Shattered Ground

With Down Strong, Saya can spawn an instance of Shattered Ground, these persist on the ground and if an enemy is knocked towards these instances, they can catch and knock up the opponent for extra follow up!

If you’re is able to slam the opponent into one of these instances, the ground erupts for a devastating finish!

Neutral Special – Vortex Crash

Grounded – Saya grabs the opponent and slams them to the ground quickly, a fast, low knockback tool to pepper combos with.

Aerial – Saya does the same motion, but throws the opponent downwards while getting a small aerial boost.

Down Special – Energy Charge/Install Activation


If Special is held, and Saya is not at full meter, Saya charges her energy to fill the meter at the cost of self damage.

Base – If Saya has any amount of meter available besides full meter and Down Special is tapped, Saya enters Sparking mode, where her strongs are enhanced with separate mechanics, she also gains improved stats, but going into Sparking form deals damage and staying in Sparking deals continuous damage.

If Saya has full meter available, she enters Guardian Form, where her strongs are still enhanced, and staying in this form does not deal self-damage.

Sparking/Guardian – At the cost of some meter, Saya erupts with a burst of energy, on-hit this move can be cancelled into any attack!

Down Strong – Crackling Ground -> Shattered Earth

Saya can overcharge her Dstrong into Shattered Earth while in install, giving more horizontal range, and spawning another instance of Shattered Ground if there is not already more than 1.

Up Strong – Heaven Piercing Strike


Saya punches the sky, releasing a surge of energy, dealing multiple hits, while in install, if an enemy is hit during the last hit of Heaven Piercing Strike, Saya then initiates a grab to throw the enemy into the ground.

Forward Strong – Knuckle-breaker -> Meteoric Impact


Saya launches a devastating punch, has decent KB. While in Install, Saya lunges to grab the opponent, when grabbed Saya does a spin into a jump, slamming the opponent into the ground.

Up Special – Rising Arrow -> Starfall Slam

Saya does a rising kick attack, only 1-hit, but is pretty strong on the early hitbox, while in Install, if special is held while performing this attack and an opponent is hit, Saya initiates Starfall Slam by leg-locking the opponent and slamming them into the ground.

Forward Special – Roaring Fist -> Meteor Rush


TAP:
Grounded: Saya performs a forward dash punch with quick startup, good for closing distance, very low kill potential, but can be used to fill the gap between attacks for rushdown, on-hit she gains IASA properties

Aerial: A downward dive punch instead, if you land on a geyser with this variant, you can initiate a Geyser Bounce, cancelling the move and sending you forward. while detonating the geyser early.

HOLD:
A forward dash strike. On hit, the Saya gets IASA properties, Pratfall occurs if the move whiffs in the air.

Install Dspecial – Relentless Meteor Rush

While in Sparking Form, for the cost of half of the current meter, Saya can exit from Sparking using Dspecial, Relentless Meteor Rush, on-hit this attack changes into Meteoric Impact.

While in Guardian Form, it still costs half of the current meter, but does not exit from that form.

*This attack can be cancelled using parry during the startup

Tips and Tricks

– Focus on setting up your grabs to reach instances of Shattered Ground.
– If you hit an opponent while activating install, you can cancel it into any attack.
– Enhanced Fstrong is controllable, during the windup you can hold the left stick to either increase the distance of the jump, turn-around, or slam the enemy in-place.
