Ante Bellum: Universal Submod Compatibility
No longer do Ante Bellum players have to choose between submods anymore! All compatibility issues and version incompatibilities have been addressed for the following submods:
• Claimants of Arabia by myself
• Samsara [github.com] by RobertK (Not available on the Steam workshop)
• Devaraja by Jikusen, Diamant, and Sssasa (Do not use alongside Chakravarti)
• Chakravarti by Nitrogue (Do not use alongside Devaraja)
• Lost World by Suoncha
• Beyond the Sands by DJProfessorL
• Semu Republic by Nitrogue
Thanks to all of the submodders above for allowing me to provide compatibility support for their mods!
If you’re developing an Ante Bellum submod that’s incompatible with others, feel free to reach out to request that it be added to this patch.
FAQ
Do I need every supported submod for this patch to function?
Not every submod is required for this patch to function. It’s particularly advisable that Devaraja and Chakravarti not be used together.
If a submod is outdated does that mean it can’t be used with the patch?
The patch indirectly restores full functionality to outdated submods because of how it resolves conflicts. It’s fine to use them.
Does the load order of the submods and patch matter?
The load order of the supported submods and patch doesn’t matter, but an unsupported mod can still override the patch if loaded afterwards
Why is the patch not working at all?
An unsupported mod is overriding the patch or Samsara’s name in the launcher (not the path name) has been renamed from "AB – India Update" during the installation process
How do I manually install Samsara from GitHub?
Installation Instructions for Samsara:
• Place the Samsara folder in the EU4 "mod" folder (Found in the Paradox Interactive folder, which is inside Documents by default)
• Rename Samsara folder to "AB_India_Submod"
• Copy the descriptor.mod file inside the AB_India_Submod folder and paste it in the main "mod" folder.
• Change the name of that descriptor file to match the mod’s folder, renaming it to "AB_India_Submod".
• Open the descriptor file with Notepad and edit the "path" line to path="mod/Ab_India_Submod"
