Less Painful Pagans
This mod reworks the way pagan reformation and feudalization works.
I always disliked the fact that in order to reform you need to hold 3 holy sites. Regardless of the state of your faith. This means that you are unable to reform as for example an norse pagan if you live in england if you don’t also go and conquer germany and norway. Or say you have a norse pagan morocco and all other norse pagans have converted to christianity, you still need to go back and conquer those holy sites to reform and go feudal. Similarly on the steppe it is especially a problem for reforming tengri, since the holy sites are spread out extremely far. Good luck reforming as one of the western steppe tengris.
So this mod changes that.
Reformation is simply no longer a thing. Faiths are now either organized, or unorganized. all previously unreformed faiths are now unorganized. The main difference between this and unreformed is that you no longer gain the feudal opinion penalty, and can create new branching faiths.
In order to organize you now need to use a decision (for coding reasons this was the best option). Where in order to organize you need to still meet some requirements. But the holy site requirement is gone. And instead replaced by having to control a % of your faiths provinces. Holy sites still help. But they no longer are a hard requirement.
Additionally feudalization is somewhat changed.
No longer do you need to have a reformed faith (or organized in this mod) to go feudal. You can do so with an unorganized one as well. All unorganized faiths now simply use the west african feudalization option.
Overall this should make the pagan experience much less painful when you are playing outside of its exact historical region of origin.
Oh and I moved the kiev holy site from norse pagan back to denmark
Side effects of this mod may include:
AI nations that grow large may or may not organize their faith and or feudalize their lands much more quickly than they normally would.
