The Guardians of the Aegean Mod brings the Hellenic Armed Forces and their unique roster of units into Sea Power.The goal of the mod is to add all the ships,aircraft,helicopters and perhaps vehicles the Hellenic Armed Forces used during the turbulent times of the Cold War.All the units represented until now are contain most(if not all) of their variants and versions that existed and offer interesting gameplay possibilities when used into missions around the Aegean Sea and Mediterranean.

The Hellenic Armed forces following the end of the Second World War and the Hellenic Civil War, were essentially remade according to British, French and American standards and equipment to help them be up to date with NATO demands and technological advancements. This mix of foreign supporters/advisors led to an eclectic mix of equipment from almost all the NATO countries, making Greece an interesting nation to see in game. However with a chronic lack of funds for the military, a lot of ships and aircraft were pushed to serve more than their intented service life with replacements or upgrades arriving too late to make a difference.
