In 2007, there were 160,000 Blackwater contractors deployed in Iraq. Through many points in the United States’ intervention in Iraq, there were more Private Military Contractors than US military servicemen. PMCs played a pivotal role in the coalition management of Iraq. These companies were huge, raking in billions of dollars in contracts.

Mercenary work is the second oldest career in the world. From ancient Egypt to Ukraine, PMCs are hired internationally for security details, clandestine work, or to act as government proxy.

Now, in Nowheraki, there are more PMCs than US servicemen. One of these companies is Armadillo Security Services.

Armadillo acts as a bridge between Nowheraki SWAT and Rangers in terms of gameplay. They have mixed equipment and light armor. Armadillo operates in smaller numbers and relies on quick stun-and-charge tactics to survive.

Armadillo is heavily inspired by Blackwater and other realistic depictions of PMCs. There is little tacticool value in their kits. Many PMCs during the Iraq War had bring-your-own weaponry or US/Iraqi surplus, and this dynamic is accurately depicted in Armadillo’s inventory.
