Desert Stage – New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Bah!
Hailing from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the Desert Stage joins Rivals! Battle it out among the sandy dunes of World 2 as you bask in the heat of the sun! While taking ideas from the whole world overall, Desert Stage is primarily based on 2-1 and 2-4, with a bit of 2-2 and 2-5 thrown in.
Basic Mode features an asymmetrical triple platform layout as well as a Pokey watching the fight! Aether Mode, however, changes the layout to add a wall on the right side in place of one of the platforms. It’ll come in handy to prevent being blown off the stage when the sandstorm arrives! Wind from 2-4 will blow across the screen every so often, pushing all players to the right. Time it right and maybe you can prevent your opponent from recovering!
Desert Stage features eight different tracks from various desert areas across the DS – Wii U era, pulling from both mainline Mario titles and spinoffs!
Tired of randomization and want to select the song yourself? Hold shield/parry and a direction on either stick or the keyboard during the match countdown! The available options are as follows: (UP: 1, RIGHT: 4, DOWN: 6, LEFT: 7)
