1.10 UPDATE: Turned down the Min_assimilation and Min_conversion numbers so as not to take as big a group. This mod is mostly about collating the smaller groups.

This mod essentially flattens the religious diversity in Victoria 3. It pains me to do this, but the game is hobbled by tracking religion, which really doesn’t impact much in the game. Yes, it can lead to rebellions. Most of those get stomped out and the rebels get their revenge by slowing down your CPU towards the end.

This mod also accelerates other assimilation. Here’s the code:

ASSIMILATION_RATE = 0.02 # Percentage of pops who will Assimilate into a different Culture each month, if eligible
MIN_ASSIMILATION = 10 # If there is any assmiliation at least this many people will assimilate

CONVERSION_RATE = 1 # Percentage of pops who will Convert into a different Religion each month, if eligible
CONVERSION_UNINCORPORATED_MULT = 1 # CONVERSION_RATE is multiplied by this in unincorporated states
MIN_CONVERSION = 1000 # If there is any conversion at least this many people will convert

Game runs a lot faster when pops aren’t divided into wee tiny groups of one. Just sayin’. I’m a very religious person in real life, but don’t need it in my game if it pretty much just leads to lag.
