EK2 Pure Mer
This is a simple mod for Elder Kings 2 that restricts Mer marriages. It includes 11 versions:
Default: Limits all Born/Spawned characters with both the Aldmeri heritage and with a faith that has Divine Purity Tenet to marry among themselves. so a Altmer born with an Altmer culture but with a faith that lacks the Tenet can marry other heritages and viceversa. It also prevents Orcs with the pariah innovation from marrying any species other than their own, if a Orcs ruler manages to take the decision to lose the Pariah status of their culture, the Orcs of that culture will be able to marry other races freely once again.
Default with Goblinken Orcs: Same as default but Orcs with the pariah innovation will marry among themselves and rarely with goblin races.
All The Mer (with Goblinken Orcs): Limits all Elves to marrying other Elves, Pariah Orcs will only marry among themselves and rarely with goblin races.
All The Mer (with Orcs): Limits all Elves to marrying other Elves, Pariah Orcs will only marry among themselves.
All the Mer (without Orcs): Limits all Elves to marrying other Elves.
All the Mer – Altmer and Dwemer Exception (with Goblinken Orcs): Same as All The Mer but with Default version Altmer and Dwemer who will marry only among themselves, Pariah Orcs will only marry among themselves and rarely with goblin races.
All the Mer – Altmer and Dwemer Exception (with Orcs): Same as All The Mer but with Default version Altmer and Dwemer who will marry only among themselves, Pariah Orcs will only marry among themselves.
All the Mer – Altmer and Dwemer Exception (without Orcs): Same as All The Mer but with Default version Altmer and Dwemer who will marry only among themselves.
Only Altmer: Same as the Default version but without marriage restrictions for Orcs.
Only Orsimer: Same as the default version but without marriage restrictions for Altmer.
Only Goblinken Orsimer: Same as the default with Goblinken Orcs version but without marriage restrictions for Altmer.
To install these versions, navigate to the mod files (via the game launcher) and follow the simple process detailed in the "Howto.info" files in every version.
If the mod is updated and you have a alternative version installed, you will have to install that version again.
Please note: This mod only restricts marriages between characters of different cultures or heritages. It does not prevent characters from having children via seduction schemes or events. Additionally, ethnicities are not considered in this mod, so a character with fully human ethnicity but somehow born with Orcish culture can still marry ethnic Orcs.
Load after Elder Kings 2
Compatible with all EK2 Submods that don’t touch these files: "ek_race_effects.txt" and "ek_race_triggers.txt".
