Virginia Class SSN (Block IV)
The Virginia class, or the SSN-774 class, is a class of nuclear-powered attack submarine with cruise missile capability in service with the United States Navy. The class is designed for a broad spectrum of open-ocean and littoral missions, including anti-submarine warfare and intelligence gathering operations. They are scheduled to replace older Los Angeles-class attack submarines, many of which have already been decommissioned, as well as four cruise missile submarine variants of the Ohio-class submarines.
This is my first mod, so here are some quick trouble shooting tips for the first few downloaders.
I have taken learning and settings from other modders like PogFrog to be able to create my first mod.
1. Make sure you select / activate the mod when you launch SeaPower in the Start Menu.
2. You will find the submarines in the Encyclopedia under Submarines > Attack Submarine > Virginia Class (Block IV)
3. This excellent 3D Model has been created by Mukamad Mirza Arrafi and is found on Sketchfab – https://skfb.ly/pszHG
4. If you get to the Encyclopedia and the model tries to load and is all white, or is just vacant ocean, message me in this thread straight away so I can fix it.
5. I have tried to keep to the details for this submarine including weapons, sensors and launchers, however as this is a 3D model, some locations or appearances might be a little off.
6. I have included the 3x boats that Australia has agreed to purchase under the AUKUS agreement, which are not yet named.
7. In a later update I will adjust the masts on the sail to be retractable. For now, they are always up.
This model requires Sea Lifter and Anchor Chair to also be installed. You will also require the NATO New Threat Upgrade Mod.
