Go Squig or Go Home!
All things Squig are within the scope of this mod. If it’s a Squig, I have modded it somehow. All Squigs come from lore.
A swarm of adorable baby Squigs. Cheap, good at tying up infantry.
Big, powerfully-built Squigs capable of taking on much stronger infantry. Great for allowing Squigs to accompany your late-game armies.
Primitive cave-dwelling Squigs, trading the stubby legs of a normal Squig for a pair of leathery wings. Essentially a flying mouth.
All have unit caps, sprinkling in some exotic Squigs into your army without overwhelming the roster.
A variant of the normal Squig Herd, with a large horn that improves its Charge.
A bizarre, rare Squig that flaps around somehow despite its heavy body. Delivers the danger of a full grown Squig, with the mobility of (slow) flight. Recruited from Exotic Animals buildings.
A breed of Squig that lurks in dank tombs, preying on would-be treasure hunters. Pale and without pigment, with overdeveloped lower fangs and a stealthy disposition. Recruited from tomb Landmarks, but Azhag has special access!
Tanky crimson Squigs whose large spikes reflect damage at attackers.
Bulging and pallid, they emit a constant cloud of gas, when not using it to spit at range.
The existing Soopa Squig model is exactly the same as a normal Squig! Now your Soopa Squig is a deranged-looking creature, with a volatile orange color to let you know it’s about to blow, and a body visibly bloated by cave gas.
Also fixed the unit card, ability icons, and description, which had been confusingly identical to the normal Squig Herd.
Added some variants.
A deeper red, with model optimizations.
Now ride distinctive yellow Armoured Squigs. Previously they were arguably worse than generic Squig Hoppers (Armoured).
The in-game description claims that Night Goblin Warbosses and Big Bosses ride a Great Cave Squig. But it’s just a normal Squig with armour on! Now it is a massive, saddled Great Cave Squig.
A Night Goblin Warboss can now mount up on the best of both worlds: a Great Cave Squig that is also armoured. Modestly improves armour for this squishy Lord.
Skarsnik’s loyal Squig Gobbla is redder and better than ever. He has also become an Item unique to Skarsnik, protecting his master and inspiring nearby Squigs.
Night Goblin characters (including Skarsnik) sail the campaign seas in special Squig boat models.
Some Night Goblin characters are "Squiggly," giving reduction to Squig upkeep.
Wurrzag’s Squig Familiar now gives a tiny heal to Squigs each time he casts a spell.
Randomly dropping, balanced, Squig-based magic items.
Scrap upgrades! Armoured Squig Hoppers actually have their own icon! Bugfixed icons and text!
