After the End: Pagans of the South
After the End: Pagans of the South Alpha 1.3 Version
Pagans of the South is an expansion for the total conversion mod "After the End," adding a brand new religion based around the Southern United States (specifically the Southeast) with its own lore, flavor, and impact on gameplay!
Features (Alpha 1.3)
One New Religion with a total of eight organized faiths, two of which share their hof with pre-existing religions (Conclavians and Americanists)
Internal Hostility Doctrine for the new religion (icons currently don’t work, but shouldn’t impact gameplay)
New Holy Sites
Preset names and coas for Holy Orders and new hofs
Unique icons for each newfaith
Compatibility:
Pagans of the South requires After the End, but should be compatible with just about any mod that’s compatible with After the End proper as it doesn’t alter anything that other mods might use. The plan is to ensure this compatibility remains the same with additional content being a part of submods.
Questions:
Will this mod receive more content?
Yes! While this mod currently has only 8 faiths, as of Alpha One, current plans call for at least seventeen total faiths. There’s also plans for at least one more set of doctrines, a patron god system, and the presence of more lore.
Will anything that’s already in this mod get changed?
Yes! Currently, the religion lacks a namelist (though some individual faiths have one), the new doctrines aren’t as expansive or have as much of an impact on gameplay as I want them to, most of the faiths don’t have their identities fully set in stone, and certain things (such as smoker being a virtue across the entire religion and faiths having certain tenets) are a stopgap to account for features that haven’t been implemented yet or simply aren’t fully developed yet.
Will the release of submods change content in this base submod?
Yes! Currently, some of the holy sites are a bit op, which will change once a "Unique Buildings" submod is released. Additional changes to the base mod might also be implemented to allow for more intrusive submods (such as ones that alter tenets or hostility)
