In total you get:

  • 3 versions of the RAAF P-3 Orion with 7 different liveries
  • 1 new livery for the RAAF P-2 Neptune
  • 1 version of the RCAF CP-140 Aurora with 3 different liveries (Cold War era)
  • 2 new weapons (AGM-84D Harpoon ASM and Mk46 NEARTIP Mod 5 torpedo)
  • 4 new sensors (EL/M-2022A(V)3, AN/APS-80A , AN/APS-506 radars and AN/AAS-36 IRDS FLIR)

Details:

** P-2E RAAF **

The RAAF flew P-2Es Neptune from 1951 until 1978, at first with 11 Squadron ‘Albatros’ (Pearce, WA) and then, from late 1953, with 10 Squadron ‘Chimera’ (Richmond, NSW). The P-2s were then gradually replaced by the more advanced P-3s.

The mod features a P-2E of 10 Squadron in White and Seagull Gray livery.

** P-3B RAAF **

The P-3B Orion started replacing the RAAF’s P-2E in 1968. The Orion’s increased range, speed and reliability enabled it to operate more widely with shorter response times than the Neptune. RAAF Orions were at the forefront of Australia’s Cold War posture with the need for surveillance in the strategically important Indian Ocean, Malacca Straits and South China Sea. In game terms the P-3B’s AN/APS-80A radar has a shorter range (about 148 km) than the P-3C’s AN/APS-115. Furthermore the P-3B carries no Harpoon missiles.

This version features two High Viz (white and Seagull Gray) liveries for 11 Squadron.

** P-3C RAAF **

Lockheed developed a new version of the P-3 Orion in 1968 with the CP-901 central computer linking advanced search radars, acoustics processors, electronics support measures, Magnetic Anomaly Detector and low light level television. This newly equipped aircraft would be the P-3C, joining the RAAF ten years later as a replacement for the P-3B.

This version has the same specs and loadouts than the ingame P-3Cs with two liveries (White and Seagull Gray with Low Viz markings) for 10 Squadron and 11 Squadron of the RAAF.

** AP-3C RAAF **

The AP-3C is an upgraded variant of the P-3 Lockheed Orion used by the RAAF between 1997 and 2019. The upgrade included fitting a new Elta EL/M-2022(V)3 surface search radar (with a range of up to 370.4 km) and a nose-mounted Star Safire III FLIR. The AP-3C are armed with AGM-84D ASMs (an improved version of the Harpoon, with a range of up to 120 NM) and Mk46 NEARTIP Mod 5 torpedoes (an upgraded version of the US Mk46).

The AP-3C comes in three (Low Viz) liveries: 10 Squadron, 11 Squadron and 10 Squadron Anniversary livery.

** CP-140 Aurora RCAF **

The Lockheed CP-140 Aurora is a maritime patrol aircraft operated by the Royal Canadian Air Force. The aircraft is based on the Lockheed P-3 Orion airframe, but mounts the electronics suite of the Lockheed S-3 Viking, notably its Texas Instruments AN/APS-116 search radar (known as AN/APS-506 in the Canadian nomenclature).
