Description:

This Mod adds 85 Legendary Heroes, 100+ Quest Battles, and 200+ unique Artefacts. These heroes are not part of the official lore. They are variant versions of existing lords or heroes, each with unique traits, skill trees, and exclusive artefacts. Every faction can recruit these heroes, and each recruitment is randomized, ensuring that every campaign offers a different combination of heroes for a varied and dynamic experience. You can also use the Mod Configuration Tool (MCT) to disable specific heroes or adjust the maximum number and recruitment interval of Legendary Heroes, allowing you to customize your own preferred playstyle.

Recruitment Method

For most heroes, you will receive their recruitment quests randomly as your campaign progresses. By default, starting from turn 7, you will receive one random hero quest every 7 turns. These quests appear as blue markers on the campaign map. You can send any army to the blue marker to trigger the mission. Additionally, in the top-left corner of the screen, you can find the button “More Legendary Heroes: Quest Teleport”, which allows your faction leader’s army to instantly teleport to the quest location.

In the event triggered on turn 2, you may also choose to disable quests. In that case, the Legendary Hero will spawn directly beside your faction leader instead.

Unique Gameplay and Campaign Mechanics

Some special Legendary Heroes can be directly recruited through early-game events. These heroes feature unique gameplay and campaign-wide mechanics that can influence the entire experience, such as:

“Legendary Lord of Change” Thazurach

Thazurach paid the price for his transgression. His mind and memory were shattered by the furious Changer of Ways. Now, tormented by Tzeentch’s cruel game, he must first guide others to master magic before he can regain his own. You must level up other spellcasting heroes during the campaign to help Thazurach recover all sixteen fragments of his lost magical memory.

“Legendary Celestial General” Aotian Long

After his homeland was burned to ash by the daemons of Chaos, Aotian Long cast aside his old name and set forth upon a path of endless vengeance. By defeating specific legendary enemies in battle, Aotian Long will gain permanent enhancements.

“Legendary Keeper of Secrets” Saelithra

Saelithra features a completely unique battle mechanic unseen anywhere else on the Workshop. Her abilities surpass the fundamental limits of Total War: Warhammer III, allowing her to directly manipulate space upon the battlefield: teleportation, transposition, battlefield reshuffling, and spatial rewind, all under her command.

“Legendary Prince” Artanis

Artanis’s army once suffered grievous losses in a clash with the daemons of Slaanesh. Now, Artanis is regrouping his forces, waging war to reclaim his lost honor. In battle, Artanis can unleash unique and powerful abilities such as mass teleportation, reshaping the battlefield in an instant. In the campaign, Artanis can gather Oathbound units to earn “Glory of the Asur”, granting himself limitless growth and unlocking powerful Oathbound standards.

“Legendary Bloodthirster” Kragor

Kragor features a unique Duel mechanic, allowing him to challenge enemy characters in battle. Each time Kragor wins a duel, he gains permanent stat bonuses and gradually unlocks powerful artifact items and abilities.

“Legendary Skink Priest” Zeqotal

Zeqotal features a unique Awakened Magic mechanic that breaks beyond the limitations of the vanilla Warhammer III ability system. In battle, he can cast abilities in specific combinations to dynamically activate entirely new and powerful spells. In the campaign, Zeqotal must journey across different regions to seek out lost relics buried since the age of the Old Ones, gaining uncapped Spell Mastery bonuses from them.

Oathbound Units

This Mod introduces the original “Oathbound” system. When a Legendary Hero reaches a certain level, they unlock the recruitment of specific units for your faction. For example, once you acquire and level up the “Legendary Master Engineer” Maximilian, you will be able to recruit Steam Tanks regardless of your faction. Oathbound units benefit from the technologies and skills of their original faction. Even if you are not playing that faction, many heroes possess abilities that further strengthen their Oathbound troops.

Quest Battles and Final Challenges

This Mod includes 100+ carefully designed Quest Battles. Each hero’s recruitment quest comes with an associated battle. These battles feature dynamic difficulty scaling: as you acquire more Legendary Heroes, the difficulty of future Quest Battles will gradually increase.

Some heroes also have Final Challenges, which unlock when they reach level 50 or meet certain conditions. Completing these challenges grants special heroes or artefacts as rewards. Final Challenges are extremely difficult and are designed to provide late-game players with new objectives and motivation when the campaign starts to slow down.

Music System

Yes, you read that right. This Mod even includes an original Music System to enhance the atmosphere. For example, in certain Quest Battles, when the Boss’s health first drops below 50% and enters the second phase, a unique BGM will begin to play.

Compatibility

This mod is compatible with almost all other mods. In large overhauls such as SFO and ATC, the stats of these Legendary Heroes will automatically adjust to match the overhaul’s balance. This Mod supports multiplayer.
