[WOTC] Hand to Hand Abilities
This mod adds a generic melee ability to all soldiers, similar to Beatdown Skill for vanilla XCOM 2.
- The ability deals low damage initially, but it will scale with soldier’s rank.
- There is also a chance to apply various status effects, such as reducing enemy Aim, Mobility, Disorienting or even Stunning them. Several status effects can be applied by one attack.
- Activating the ability against an enemy that is already within one tile range costs one action and does not end turn.
- The ability will randomly visualize as a Stockstrike, Punch or a Kick.
- Soldiers that use a primary Pistol / Autopistol / Melee Weapon / Shard Gauntlet do not receive the melee ability by default.

In addition to the Melee ability, the mod creates separate abilities for Punch, Kick and Stockstrike. You can configure them separately, and then:
- Add them specific soldier classes using XComClassData.ini for that class.
- Add them to specific weapon categories using Weapon Skin Replacer.
You can also change the abilities’ position on the skill bar in this mod’s XComHUDPriority.ini.
Should be compatible with almost anything.
Punch looks bad with Sword Primary.
Punch and Stockstrike look bad with Pistol Primary.
The EXCLUDED_PRIMARY_WEAPON_CATEGORIES configuration will remove these melee abilities granted to specific weapon categories by Weapon Skin Replacer, so if you want better control over which class and weapon gets specific melee abilities, do it by granting the abilities to specific class and weapon, rather than by trying to exclude every other class, cuz it will gett messy.
