Mr (Ant) Tenna
Tenna has a lot of weaknesses, he’s pretty slow, has a pretty large hurtbox, and their attacks have pretty limited range. No there is not a but coming, however I’ll still tell you what tricks Tenna has up his sleeves.
Tenna has a popularity meter, he’s got to keep the ratings up to have access to his full range of abilities. You might be asking yourself, that’s neat and all but what am I supposed to do about it? Well I’m glad you asked because here’s a list of actions that will help keep your ratings high, and what you should avoid at all costs.
• Landing attacks on opponents, landing multiple attacks in a row increases it more
• Taunting, putting on a show never hurt anyone
• Parrying attacks, the crowd loves to see you get one over your opponents
• Using popularity on attacks, duh I didn’t think I’d have to explain that
• Getting hit by attacks, you should already be avoiding that
• Getting parried, you kind of deserve it at that point
• Dying
Now that you know all there is to know about popularity, how about I explain all the neat things you can spend it on
With neutral special, Tenna brings out his trusty spray can to attempt to freeze his opponents in place. It takes a while for it’s effects to work but don’t worry, opponents will be pushed away from you so surely you’ll be safe, right? Why does this use up popularity I don’t know man I’m just the intern.
Tenna will bring fourth a capsule to try and capture the opponent. If the capsule as much as touches the opponent, they’ll be trapped and have no choice but to try and run away as Tenna unleashes their fury on them. Do try and be careful, while you’re obviously too big to fit inside the capsule, opponents can launch the capsule away.
Tenna will call in a shadow guy to assist him. The shadow guy requires direct orders however, so make sure you’ve marked a target first by attacking them. Once summoned, the shadow guy will automatically walk towards it’s target, and when close enough begin attacking. The fans don’t support this illegal teaming however and your popularity will quickly drain while the shadow guy is active, and he’ll have no choice but to leave if the ratings get too low.
While Tenna has no issue taking to the skies by themself, the support of the fans gives him the strength to break past his limits and continue flying for longer duration.
There might be other surprises and junk Tenna has in store but maybe you should find them out yourself I’m getting kind of tired.
