This version includes all core mechanics, events, and decisions but skips character window edits, making it compatible with UI mods.

Notes:

• Do NOT use this version with the original Harem Politics mod. Just use one version or the other.
• Spouses and concubines will appear in the same row, as in vanilla. For the custom UI layout, use the main Harem Politics mod.
  Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
  • Is this mod save-game compatible?
    No. You must start a new game with this mod enabled. If you attempt to add Harem Politics to an ongoing campaign, the underlying database entries and script initializations won’t load properly, which will cause bugs, broken interactions, and potentially ruin your save file.
  • Is this mod compatible with [Insert Mod Name Here]?
    The golden rule: Harem Politics is NOT compatible with any other mod that touches the core mechanics of marriage and concubinage. If a mod touches how characters take partners, or their number of partners, assume it will break this mod.
    Known incompatible mods include total conversions like A Game of Thrones (AGOT), as well as specific mods like Love Marriage Family (LMF), Immersive Concubinage, and Harem – More Concubines (and spouses).
  • I married someone whose faith allows polygamy, but I still get a penalty for taking other spouses. Why?
    This is a classic compatibility issue. Another mod in your load order is overriding the marriage/concubinage scripting, breaking the logic of this mod.
  • I’m trying to arrange a marriage with someone whose faith accepts polygamy, but they refuse because I already have other spouses. What’s wrong?
    Same issue as above. If the faith allows it but the AI is blocking it based on existing spouses, another mod in your load order is interfering with the marriage interaction scripts.
