Arsenal and Cultural Overhaul
This update adds 11 new weapons from VWO Extended, including:
– Arming Swords
– Bastard Swords
– Falchions
– Rapiers
– Polehammers
– Poleaxes
– Hatchets
– War Axes
– Glaives
– Double-Bit Axes
– Longbows
+ Broadhead Arrows & Bolts
All of these new weapons, as well as all existing armor have been balanced with VWO Extended, as well as with Tougher Bodies and Vanilla Materials Overhaul, big thanks to lmlsna.
Armor has gotten a visual overhaul, with shirts, vests, tunics, and coats showing a surcoat over all armor, while dresses, robes, and togas show a coat under it, allowing you to customize your soldiers’ appearance and colors with more precision.
There is also one new helmet, the spectacle helm, used primarily by one of the new civs, a new arming cap as a cloth/leather helmet option, and gambesons as cloth/leather body armor.
There are 4 new civilizations, including 3 hostile ones, making the world much deadlier and conflict-filled:
– Highlander barbarians, who send kidnappers and ambushes from their mountain villages!
– Viking raiders from the frigid taiga forests, equipped with intimidating spectacle helms!
– Desert-dwellers, peaceful people who build their cities in the rivers of the tropics!
– Mountain-goblins, who rival dwarves in their territory!
Put this six spots up in the mod order list, just above Vanilla Creature Graphics. Then, remove Vanilla Languages and Vanilla Entities from the mod list. Otherwise, this will be marked as incompatible.
Also, place Tougher Bodies A&CO just above this mod. Remove Vanilla Materials and Vanilla Bodies.
This mod is not compatible with any other mods which modify the graphics of the five main civilized creatures. To be safest, place this before every other mod possible.

- All the improvements from CGE – Redux, including separated beard, moustache, and sideburn graphics, improved facial features synced to descriptions, new armor sprites, and more.
- Several new helmets, including kettle helms, nasal helms, flat-top helms, spectacle helms, and "slayer" helms. Also included are two "helmets" wearable under others, opened and closed chainmail coifs. All helmets also have a chance for a hood to be worn under them, with its colors based on the wearer’s pants for precise uniforms.
- Cloaks and capes have new, random graphics, their non-portrait graphics synced with portraits.
- Humans are now playable, with a new nobility and military structure more consistent with medieval feudalism, and three variations for varying arsenal options.
- Language has been overhauled by integrating The Way the Words Work, making names less silly or random, and more relevant to each site type.
- Weapons are balanced using Vanilla Weapon Overhaul, fixing overpowered weapons, and making other more useful and interesting.
