RimDark 40k – Mankinds Finest
TL;DR
This mod adds new xenotypes, including Thunder Warriors, Custodes, Firstborn Space Marines, Primaris, Primarchs, Living Saints from the Warhammer 40K universe. New production pipeline to create them. New systems: Armor Decoration and Ranking Tree. New structures and items.


















- Melee Animation support included, all melee weapons pre-configured.
- If Dubs Rimatomics or Crash Landing mods are installed, the Melachrome provides resistance to radiation from those mods.
- RimHUD displays how much time is left before gene-seeds can be harvested. You need to select the “RimDark 40K – Mankind’s Finest” preset in the Content tab of the RimHUD settings for it to be active.
- FemaleApparelVariants is not compatible, breaks masking of armor.

Q: "WHY IS AGRON HAPPY????; WHY IS EVERYTHING PRE HERESY REEE????"
A: Yes. The mod is built around the idea of “what if nothing ever went wrong” – like, what if the Horus Heresy never happened? But if you want Horus to be evil and Angron to be raging, don’t worry, we’ll add these features in upcoming Chaos-related module.
Q: I’m using this mod with Facial Animations, and my Space Marines have angry eyebrows floating on top of their helmets.
A: While it’s pretty hilarious, this can be easily fixed. Just go into the Facial Animations mod settings and uncheck “Draw the eyebrows above the hat.”
Q: How do I turn on the option to have male Living Saints and female Primarchs?
A: While the latter is pure heresy, you can enable it by going to the VE Framework options and select the Toggleable Patches tab – you’ll find it there, along with a bunch of other options.
Q: Will there be Custodes gear also?
A: Yes, probably.
Q: Will you rework the other mods too?
A: Probably, but this stuff takes time.
Q: Can this mod be used with your other Warhammer 40k mods?
A: Some of them may work, reports say that Cybernetics, Abhuman and Psykers work. Core, Genes, Factions and Ideology will not.
Q: Living Saints? Eeew, girls!
A: You can set the Living Saint chance to 0% (effectively disabling them for your run) in the mod settings. You can also allow male pawns to become Living Saints in the same settings.
Q: Is this compatible with Grimworld?
A: Supposedly.
Q: CE?
A: Not currently. If you want one, poke them about it.
Q: Can I add this to an existing save file?
A: It’s better not to. Technically, it might work (the fewer mods you already have in your save, the higher the chances), but we do not guarantee stability or proper functionality.
