Description:

The main innovation of the mod is the Tailborne xenotypes, from the planet Obsidia.
Long ago on the planet Obsidia, a wave of experimental gene manipulation collided with industrial sabotage, triggering a catastrophic release of mutagens into the atmosphere. Entire ecosystems collapsed under layers of toxic residue, and from this poisoned cradle, the first Tailborne emerged-creatures reshaped by chemical chaos and genetic upheaval. Seen as dangerous mutations, they were hunted and cast out. To survive, these beings fled into the void, scattering across the stars in scattered kin-groups.

  • Ratscourge – rejected exile and returned to the poison that birthed them, choosing to remain on tainted worlds where others could not follow. Over generations, they embraced ruin and filth, building vast warrens beneath toxic clouds and growing increasingly feral-thriving not despite the pollution, but because of it. Ratscourge resemble humanoid rats: smaller than average humans, covered in coarse fur, and marked by sharp claws and hunched frames. They are psychically deaf, slow to rise, and visibly repulsive. Their biology grants stronger immunity, and they derive mood bonuses from filth while disliking cleanliness and comfort. In swarms, they gain speed and strength, sacrificing individuality for group might. As they age, they develop limited psychic sensitivity, become more resistant to pain, but also more prone to mental instability.
  • Mousari – chose a different path, abandoning the poisoned ground of Obsidia to forge new lives in sterile havens of glass and light. With time, their forms softened, their minds sharpened, and their homes became immaculate sanctuaries where even a speck of dust was a threat. Mousari appear mostly human, with subtle mouse-like features and smaller, graceful frames. They are slow starters, but possess charming beauty. Their life in sterile comfort weakened their natural immunity, but they became more sensitive, fast-working, and highly dependent on cleanliness and comfort. Exposure to dirt depresses them, while pristine environments lift their spirits. Among peers, they become more productive and psychically attuned, but less tolerant of filth. With age, they gain faster learning and improved immunity, though their pain threshold declines.

In general, the mod adds:

  • Xenotypes: 2
  • Genes: 29
