Mega Man
The legacy of the legendary Blue Bomber returns, rebuilt with firepower, finesse, and futuristic flair! Mega Man dashes into Rivals of Aether with a remastered moveset drawn from his greatest adventures across the classic and modern eras from Mega Man 1 to Mega Man 11. With an arsenal of projectiles, tactical gadgets, and precision-engineered movement, Mega Man turns the battlefield into a dynamic zone of calculated chaos. This is the ultimate expression of his fighting spirit…adaptable, deliberate, and devastating!

Mega Man’s iconic Mega Buster returns, firing up to three precise, low-knockback pellets at a time. Pressing Special will have him pull out the buster, allowing him to maneuver and shoot with limited mobility. Holding Special will begin charging the Charge Shot, slowing his movement a bit more, but allowing him to fire a powerful blast at a moment’s notice.

Mega Man equips the Pile Driver, turning himself into a full speed drill assault! This forward-moving drill strike lets him pierce enemies and deliver forceful justice, straight from Mega Man 11. The attack can be charged by holding special, traveling farther and growing stronger the longer the more it’s charged. When used on the ground, before hitting an opponent, the attack can be jump canceled, allowing for high speed approaches or tricky movement.
Wall collision: Ramming the Pile Driver into a wall will cause Mega Man to stick into the wall for a short second before dropping down.

Summoning his ever-faithful robo-dog, Rush, Mega Man calls him forth to bounce, or soar, into battle!
Rush Coil: Tapping Special will summon the Rush Coil and spring Mega Man high into the air while being fully actionable. The Rush Coil will linger for a few seconds, being able to bounce teammates enemies alike, and will send everyone higher when grounded. If not grounded, Rush will descend slowly before disappearing.
Rush Jet: Holding Special will summon the Rush Jet, allowing Mega Man to cruise forward through the air while special is held down. Rush Jet can be directed up or down to gain or lose elevation, but it does have a fuel gauge, so flight time is limited. Flying upwards consumes significantly more fuel than going straight or downwards. Once special is released, Rush will quickly halt and remain stationary for a brief moment before disappearing, consuming much less fuel when idle, though holding up special again will allow for Rush to be re-controlled. Once Rush Jet is used, the fuel must completely recharge before it’s usable again by touching the ground and not getting hit.

When on the ground, Mega Man pulls a Rock Block from beneath him, channeling his Mega Man 1 roots. With Super Arm equipped, he gains powerful stage control to manipulate the Rock and even the opponent.
Rock Block: This hunk of stone functions very similar to Kragg’s, being a strong projectile you hurl at your opponents up down or to the side, and turning into a solid block when it lands. Mega Man can also walk around while holding it, and can pick it back up. However, when attacked, Rock Block will be launched forward and maintain its shape, rather than breaking into shards. It has a lot of health, but will eventually break, and it cannot be launched by weak multi hits or projectiles. It can be launched by the opponent though, and breaks instantly if hit while in the air. Only one Rock Block can be out at a time.
Super Arm: If Mega Man doesn’t pull out a Rock Block, he instead has the option to grab his opponent and lift them over his head. He can move while holding them, and can throw them in the same up, down, and sideways directions that he can throw his rock, though the opponent will break out of the grab after a short time.
