Fort Maps for Encampment Stance
- When an army is attacked (not by ambush) while in an encamp or raiding camp stance, different camp maps will be used according to its culture. Tomb Kings’ entombed beneath the sands stance, Dark elves and Vampire Counts’ raiding stance will have camp map.
- If the defender army remains in an encamping stance for two consecutive turns without moving, it will use a larger camp map or even a walled map, and a model will appear around the army on the campaign map. If the army stays in an encamping stance for three turns without moving, the largest camp map will be used.
- Some cultures like Chaos Warriors, Beastmen, Wood Elves, and all Chaos Daemons do not have camp maps with city walls or barricades. Special army types such as Cathay caravans and Chaos Dwarf convoys also use camp battle maps when defending.
- In some special circumstances like disbanding an encampment army, the camp model on the campaign may not disappear until the next turn.
- You can set the starting and maximum fort size, minimal units to expand the camp, and whether the caravan uses a camp map with the MCT mod in the game’s main menu.
Due to technical limitations, the toggle-able building system cannot be enabled in land battles currently. Therefore, the barricades in the camp map can only be destroyed by artillery and do not provide ability bonuses to units positioned on them. Currently we also haven’t found a way to add siege vehicles to the battle.
Compatible with saved games, multiplayer and campaign map mods like Immortal Empire Expanded or the Old World. The original Fort Mod is required. For mods adding new cultures, the Empire’s camp battle map will be used by default without special compatibility support.
