Nomadic Coronation: the Inner Asian Khan on the Black Felt
To become Khagan, be hoisted aloft by your nobles, seated upon the felt carpet, and ascend the grand throne!
This MOD is historically oriented, designed primarily to showcase the coronation ceremonies of medieval nomadic rulers and the rather fascinating phenomenon of fixed reign durations.
All nomadic rulers of kingdom rank or above will receive a “Has Not Performed the Felt-Lifting Khagan Ritual” modifier, which must be removed by holding the ceremony. During the event, a series of ritual decisions will determine your reign’s length, accompanied by flavorful in‑game text.
The Khagan’s reign length will be actively counted. Once it expires, you may spend prestige to extend it… or wage war on dissatisfied nobles to secure an uninterrupted lifetime on the throne.
