Simple Civilian Behaviour
A simple script that i was using in my missions made into a mod
Why? Cause i hate vanilla civilian behaviour. They have specific panic animations, but they are practically unused. Same with a config, the way how those animations configed do not allow AI to properly play some of the animations.
What this mod does?
- When there is any shooting happening around civilians, they play proper panic animations and start to flee as far as they can.
- They can hop into empty vehicles and will try to drive away if possible.
- If civilian is in the building, he will try to hide in it and will not leave it.
- You can force civilians to move or stop via vanilla interaction menu.
- Civilians play different voicelines when shooting starts.
Things to know
- You can disable that behaviour by adding this into units init field: this setVariable [‘WBK_DisableCivBehaviour’,true]; – this will disable the behaviour for this particular unit
- System was made for Zeus/Dynamic missions where there is no special behaviour for civies is involved.
- Behaviour is not tested in campaign missions and there is no plans to do it, cause as i said it wasnt made for those kind of missions.
- There is no CBA settings, didnt felt like adding some cause this system is already as simple as it can get.
- Both server and client need to have this mod installed cause all the config for panic animations was re-done as well as there is some custom anims.
