Refugees
Adds the refugee unit to the game
Refugees spawn periodically in razing cities, the ethnicity will be dependent on the original owner of the city. You can move refugees into one of your (non-puppet/non-revolt) cities to add 1 population to the city. They may carry religion if the previous city had followers, and will give a small amount of that religion to a city upon integration.
- Refugees can be captured and are targeted by AI
- AI also receive refugees and will move them into their capital city
- Settlers are now converted into refugees instead of workers upon capture
- Gaining population from an ancient ruins will now spawn a refugee instead
- Using the spread religion button will consume the unit and will NOT add population
- Inquisitors will prevent refugees from spreading other religions into your city (as it does for other religious units)
The chance a religious refugee will spawn is proportional to the religious followers in the city…
10 population city
3 Buddhism = 30% chance of Buddhist refugee
2 Hinduism = 20% chance of Hindu refugee
1 Judaism = 10% chance of Jewish refugee
4 Atheists = 40% chance of non-religious refugee
This mod aims to make war more viable when fighting large civs, especially on Immortal or Deity where the AI have a lot of bad but high population cities.
Shouldn’t cause conflicts with other mods. Works with religious settlers in my other mod –
