# Useful Guests

Useful Guests is a character recruitment mod for Crusader Kings III that allows rulers to actively seek out specific talents for their court. Instead of relying purely on random wanderers, you can commission your servants to find the exact type of expertise your realm requires.

## Features

### Recruitment Decisions
The mod adds three tiers of decisions to your Decision menu:
1. **Invite an Untrained Local Wanderer**: Recruits a character with primary skills between 8 and 12. (2-year cooldown)
2. **Invite a Well-trained Local Wanderer**: Recruits a character with primary skills between 12 and 16. (3-year cooldown)
3. **Invite an Extremely Trained Local Wanderer**: Recruits a character with primary skills between 16 and 20. (5-year cooldown)

Each decision triggers an event where you can choose the recruit’s primary field:
* Diplomacy
* Martial
* Stewardship
* Intrigue
* Learning

### Specialized Recruits
In addition to standard skill-based recruits, each tier offers a Specialized Recruits menu, allowing you to find characters with unique traits and backgrounds:

* **The Ancient Sage**: An elderly veteran (70+) with maxed Renowned Physician and Herbalist traits.
* **The Devoted Soul**: A pious character with high Learning and the Devoted trait (Monk/Nun).
* **The Holy Order Veteran**: A combat-hardened recruit with high Martial and the Holy Order Member trait.
* **The Trusted Eunuch**: A male recruit with high Stewardship/Intrigue and the Eunuch trait.

### Flavor and Immersion
* **Specialized Guest Modifier**: All specialized recruits receive a unique character modifier that provides small bonuses to Piety, Prestige, and Opinion.
* **Dynamic Gender Balance**: Recruits are generated with gender chances that respect your faith’s clerical gender doctrines.
* **1.19 Compatibility**: Fully updated for CK3 version 1.19, including support for the new Message Settings system.
* **Multilingual Support**: Includes full support for English and French localization.
