I started developing this mod in my free time since Nov 2024, after I reached a point in the game where I felt like new buildings, goods and locomotives could only make it more interesting to play. The game’s graphics are created in 3D and rendered to 2D images, and I always wanted to learn Blender and 3D modelling more so I thought it would be a good challenge for myself.

The Artisans expansion adds a whole new residence tier along with new goods and services that fit with the advancing times of the game. With the addition of over a dozen new city buildings and extra variants with different needs for existing residential buildings, it’s possible to create very unique looking cities.
Customizable factories, meant to be built inside cities, add another opportunity to build your city layout in a personalized and efficient way to supply new goods like cigarettes and desks.
There are 9 new production chains for new goods, like Canned Food which was a revolutionary invention of the times.

- 23 new buildings (factories, residences and color variations, commercial buildings)
- Special customizable, modular large factories for furniture and cigarettes
- 9 new production chains (canned food, pastries, stylish clothes, furniture, brass, etc)
- 8 new real world locomotives (GP7, T 20, BR Class 55, UP SD70, and more)
- 2 new person types (Artisans, Conductors)
- Complete the Conductors "story line" for powerful unlocks (new Coal Power Plant V2, new Bonus Goods, and more)
- Unlock upgraded cargo cars for increased loading speed
- Unlock a new Medium Station with 4 color variants
- New color variants for most existing residences
- New city decorations (fences, pathways, trees, plaza, roads)
- Visual update for lighting and clouds
- Mountain terraforming and new mountain style
- All tutorial and advice text expanded & updated
- Important tips section added for helpful hints
Please check the Important Tips section of the Wiki for helpful hints and what are currently known issues, and help for new players on how to avoid common mistakes you may make while starting to play the game.

All of the assets from Essential City Decorations, Real Trains, and Natural Lighting have been included in this mod. You can disable those mods if you like or if they happen to cause issues.
In general if you run into any strange issues try disabling old mods you might have downloaded, especially very old mods created before the game’s 1.0 in Apr 2024.
