**The New Adventure** is a gameplay mod for Crusader Kings III that allows you to leave your established realm behind and embark on a migration journey to find a "Promised Land." Inspired by the Varangian Adventure mechanics, this mod opens up migration options to all cultures and adds a deep preparation system.

## Key Features

### 🌍 Search for a Promised Land
If you find your life as a ruler dull, you can send scouts across the world to find a new territory to conquer. Scouts will suggest "ideal" counties based on development, distance, and the strength of the current holders.

### 👑 Abdicate and Prepare
Higher-tier rulers (Kings and Emperors) can choose to abdicate their throne to a reliable successor—either a family member or a powerful vassal. You will retain only a single "base" county and receive a gold bounty to fund your expedition and recruit veteran warriors.

### ⚔️ New Adventure Casus Belli
Use a unique migration war to seize your target land. Upon victory:
* **Migration**: You move your capital to the new land and become independent.
* **Cleanup**: Your old titles are destroyed or handed over to local warlords, leaving your old life behind.
* **Dynasty Founding**: If you were not the head of your house, you will found a new cadet branch in your new home.
* **Adventurer Trait**: Gain and level up the custom "Adventurer" trait, which provides:
* **Level 1**: +25% Diplomatic Range, +50% Supply Duration.
* **Level 2**: +50% Diplomatic Range, +75% Supply Duration, +1 Martial and Prowess per Prestige Level.
* **Level 3**: +75% Diplomatic Range, +100% Supply Duration, +1 Martial and Prowess per Prestige Level, +20 County Opinion.

### 🕵️ Investigation System
Hire specialized travelers to investigate foreign lands. This interaction allows you to expose the "weakness" of a specific county, granting you a special Casus Belli and a claim on that land.

## Compatibility
* **Version**: Fully compatible with **1.19 "Scribe"** and modern CK3 mechanics.
* **Legitimacy**: Integrated with the Legitimacy system; winning your migration war will boost your standing, while failure will damage it.
* **Ironman/Achievements**: Not achievement compatible (modifies checksum).
