Victoria 2 Style IG’s
As the title suggests, this mod replaces every existing IG (industrialists, landowners, rural folk, et cetera) into the Victoria 2 base ideologies, that being Reactionary, Liberal, Anarcho-Liberal, (Radical-Liberal) Socialist, Communist, Conservative, and Fascist.
Each ideology has different weights for different pops and supports different policies of course.
But generally…
Conservatives – Shopkeepers, Clerks, Farmers, and Peasants (plus a lot of capitalists and aristocrats)
Liberals – Capitalists, Bureaucrats, Clerks, Academics, and a good amount of attraction from literacy after 25%
Reactionaries – Aristocrats and Farmers mainly
Socialists – All workers, not shopkeepers or clerks or other middle class pops
Communists – All workers but will be much more likely if the pops are radicals
Fascists – Usually all the military pops and middle class pops, again like communists pops will be attracted way more based on radicals, and as well IG leader popularity.
Radical-Liberals – Capitalists, engineers, and some shopkeepers
Each one has almost all (haven’t checked yet) positions of every policy in the game, conservatives are like an inbetween the landowners and industrialists, the liberals are the intelligentsia with some changes for how they view the economy.
Fascists & Communist want a single party state with a command economy/cooperative ownership
Socialists are kinda like radical liberals who also want cooperative ownership.
Radical-Liberals are free market capitalists that are also radicals and want to abolish monarchies and instate democratic rule.
Reactionaries are essentially just the landowners combined with the religious IG and are usually extremely powerful in less developed nations like Russia & Qing upon game start
The mod also SHOULD BE highly compatible with other mods since it only modifiers two localization files, one gui file, and the interest groups.
I recommend using this mod with ai mods as they seem to know how to use the new system under Kuromi’s ai for instance.
Oh, and FYI, radical liberals unlock upon egalitarianism, socialists upon labor movement, communists upon socialism, and fascists upon corporatism being unlocked.

V0.7.1 Changed it so the igs unlocked by technologies aren’t disabled completely as it causes unintended effects (Queen Victoria not existing, or a lot of leaders dying) so now they all have 0% clout which will instantly marginalize them if they’re not in the government.
Added more laws that some igs didn’t have opinions on (colonization, workers rights, and domestic security laws)
V0.7.2 Changed some ideologies to not be overlapping (I still need to do a full run through but it seems like there aren’t any glaring problems)
Gave the reactionaries the default devout bonuses because the devout don’t exist
Radical-liberals now support private schools
Conservatives Liberals & Reactionaries can now get protectionist and market liberal leaders randomly (similar to base game pb)
