Mil Mi-24V Hind

The Mil Mi-24 Hind is a Soviet-designed assault helicopter that combines heavy firepower, troop transport capability, and armored protection. Developed in the late 1960s and entering service in 1972, it was built to provide close air support, anti-armor strikes, and rapid infantry deployment in a single platform. Its tandem cockpit, stub wings for rockets and missiles, and rear cabin for up to eight troops made it revolutionary for its time.

Rugged and fast, the Hind saw extensive action in the Soviet–Afghan War and later conflicts across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, proving its versatility and survivability. Its role as both a gunship and transport helicopter allowed it to deliver shock action on the battlefield, suppress enemy positions, and deploy infantry directly into combat, solidifying its place as one of the most iconic and enduring attack helicopters in history.
