IRAN SRBM – Qiam 1
The Qiam-1 is an Iranian short-range, single-stage, liquid-propelled ballistic missile developed from the Shahab-2/Scud family and first revealed in 2010; it is road-mobile and was designed with a separable warhead and no stabilizing fins to improve speed and reduce radar signature. Its commonly reported range is roughly 700–800 km (some sources give estimates from ~500 km up to about 1,000 km for later variants), with a payload on the order of several hundred kilograms and improved accuracy compared with earlier Scud derivatives. Iran and outside analysts have highlighted variants with improved guidance or a maneuverable re-entry vehicle, and the system has been deployed by Iran’s forces.
