Overview

An Extended Timeline submod that focuses in the Americas. Adds a ton of new nations, new events and disaster, a lot of flavor and missions. It’s still in development so it’s rough around the corners.

Feautures

This mod includes a map Overhall that adds more than 100 provinces, with new wastelands, rivers and province moddifiers that makes the climate and geography an important factor in expansion, conquest and colonization.

Also, this mod focuses in the historical evolution of the Americas, adding ancient civilizations like Chavin, Teotihuacan, Cuicuilco and Pachacamac. As well as adding a lot of new native tags for South America and Mesoamerica with unique goverment reforms, unique mission trees, religions, cultures and mechanics to make every culture feel unique and different.

Very historical events are depicted as close as possible to real life, like the Aimara Heterarchy after the collapse of Tiwanaku and Huari, or the Independence Revolutions of the XIXth century. Each startdate has special events that depicts this complex eras, not only allowing a better depiction of reality, but also allowing the player to create alt-history scenarios as it sees fit.

New Nations

The american continent in base game and in ET is very empty, contrary to historical reality. This is one of the first things this mod changes, without compromissing the colonization mechanich and gamplay. Many new nations are added alongside with many new provinces to keep with historical borders. This nations have unique goverments, religions, cultures, missions or ideas, and many new formables as well, reaching from historical countries to alt-history ones.

New Religions

This mod adds a lot of new religions to the game. Representing the mithys and legends of the Native American peoples, this religions replaces the generic South American Religion of the ET Mod, adding new ones like Moai, Mapuche, Amazonian, Huarpe, Guarani and Chacoan. Many of them with uniques or rework mechanichs like cults, ancestors or personal deities.

New Trade Goods

In order to achive a more realistic representation of history, this mod also adds new tradegood to diversify the economic developments of the continent. Silver, Yerba Mate, Potato and Maize are some of this new trade goods that function as an important part of pre-columbian american cultures, as well as post-colonial nations.

Map Improvments

This mod also adds more than 200 provinces that completly changes the american continent. More rivers, wastelands, mountains and crossings make the terrain an important part of the strategic conquest of the region. New province modifiers give more personality and uniqueness to important geographical regions like the Chaco, the Guyana Shield, the Texcoco Basin or the Pampa Humeda.

New Startdates

To facilitate access to the mod’s content, several bookmarks of historical moments for the American continent have been incorporated. Many of these feature special events and unique nations, perfect for exploring "what if…?" scenarios. Some of those with the most content are:

Areas in Development

This is still a Work In Progress mod, the following areas are almost complete:

  • Peru and Upper Peru regions, from the First Intermidiet period to the XIX century. Added new provinces, new nations with its own ideas, goverments and missions.
  • La Plata Region. With new provinces and Nations with a lot of flavor, it’s one of the areas most worked in.
  • Cololmbia Region
  • Brazil and Amazonia Region
  • Mesoamerica (Central America and Mexico regions)

And the following areas are in current development:

  • Caribean Region
  • North America and the Pacific Islands
