Focused Map: Southern Eurasia

Reduces the playable area to Southern Eurasia and East Africa. Just big enough to still make full use of the Silk Road.

Hopefully, someone will eventually make a mod to add maritime trade routes.

Lag reduction. I’d like to play without the bloat of tens of thousands of characters in far flung realms with which I’ll never interact. The smaller map mods in the workshop are still too broad or went a little too narrow for tastes, so I make my own.

• Most regions have been made impassable. The titles and characters from those regions have been removed.
• The Southern duchies from the kingdoms of Dzungaria and Zhetysu are now a part of Turan.
• The kingdom of Hitakami and the Southern islands of the kingdom of Aynumosir are now a part Japan.
• Trimmed out various counties and baronies to shape the outer border of the map.
• The Mongol invasion spawn point has been moved to Barkul.

• Euboea is indepedent from the Byzantine Empire in 867 and 1066 because the duchy of the Aegean Islands isn’t properly being assigned, for no apparent reason.
• There is an over-abundance of Frenchmen because I’m too lazy to manually parse out only the relevant French/Occitan characters in the Crusader States from among 3000+ characters in the files.
• Everything else seems stable and there were no crashes during testing, which consisted of running the game for 50+ years at each starting date a bunch of times.
