NEW MAJOR VERSION 1.2

Rework the mod into modules, for more compatibility. new ways to register ammuniton for casings.

Works in MP for 41 and 42, casings are tight to server tick rate hence why the slow FPS of casings.

Hot Brass – Visible Casing Ejection Framework

Is a passion project and my first official mod. I always love keeping an eye on small details, and that’s why I started on a journey of making casings visible and now it has evolved into something more than I originally envisioned.

BIG thanks to the modding community from Zomboid and all the wonderful people in there.

Changes to Gameplay

Racking now causes you to eject an unfired round, make sure you pick them up. Revolvers and manually-loaded shotguns behave the same as in vanilla for racking.

If you are hosting this mod in MP for version 41, make sure it loaded last!

Some of the features regarding casings

React to the world around, fall to different levels, react against walls, land on objects (tables, chairs, counters, etc…), open or close windows or doors
Bounce around
Play appropriate casing sounds to the tile they are landing on
be cool looking 😀

If you find a bug, please report it in the thread for it, not the comments.

I have redone the structure of the mod, so if you wish to implement it or want to change the functionality of a function, you can patch it by calling the main object and the desired function.
Look over at some of the integrated params table for examples on custom fly patterns for casings.
