[AO] Forced Penance: A Stat Add-On (and Loot Overhaul)

Description:

Forced Penance introduces six brand new character stats, each of which heavily influence an aspect of the game that has been thoughtfully reworked. You can now deal additional damage with crits, have your actions influence later parts of your runs, and gain better pickup rewards based (partially) on Luck!

All of the changes and additions detailed below have been documented on the official Absolution Wiki, which can be found here [tboiabsolution.wiki.gg].

• Six brand new, fully fleshed out character stats have been introduced; this includes Critical Hit Chance and Multiplier, Karma, Loot Chance and Payout, and Resistance.
• If FoundHUD is enabled, these stats can be viewed by holding the Map button (TAB on keyboard).
• All stats, including those introduced in this mod, have been given soft caps. Once reached, these cause all future increases to be reduced significantly.
• Some stats have also been given hard caps and minimums, in an effort to help prevent strange and game-breaking interactions.

• The pickups rewarded when clearing a room is now fully dependent on Loot Chance; the higher the stat, the more likely you are to receive rare pickups!
• Some select rooms no longer grant pickups when cleared, even if there were enemies inside.
• This mechanic does not affect the rewards given by special events, such as Boss Rush.

• The pickups rewarded after opening a chest or sack is now fully dependent on Loot Payout; the higher the stat, the more pickups you will receive!
• Most chests now have a chance to payout with enemy Spiders or Troll Bombs (not just Red Chests).
• Sacks are guaranteed to give three pickups, removing some randomness when they’re opened.
