Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) is a tier 2 unit from the United States Marine Corp (USMC), this unit is formerly known as "Marine Raiders". MARSOC’s primary roles involves direct action, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, and foreign internal defense missions. This unit is intended to provide the USMC a dedicated special operations capability to be on par with other tier 1 or 2 units such as Navy Seals or Green Berets.

As of 2027, MARSOC is often used to engage in special operations missions against Pax Armada to defend US interest in NATO while supporting federal agencies during the 2nd American Civil War.

In September 20, 2027, President Trump set up a NATO summit meeting with countries such as Canada, UK, France, Germany and Sweden in negotiating concerns about a major PMC group Pax Armada as a threat to NATO. During the summit, a huge explosion occurred that has killed 189 people including the death of NATO leaders from the UK, Germany and France. After the explosion, a group of unknown armed soldiers breached into the summit and attempted to kill as many government officials including President Trump and Prime Minister Carney.

As the massacre continues, federal US security in collaboration with foreign security from NATO allies attempted to protect NATO leaders engaging in a massive firefight. Although federal security was able to fight off, the aggression and firepower from the soldiers has killed many federal security officers which leaves them disadvantaged, this forces all officials to evacuate to the nearest evacuation site protected by the US National Guard. With little firepower, federal officers have managed to evacuate the President Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Carney to the safest site while summit is destroyed.

Moments after the attack, the US military deployed MARSOC to infiltrate the summit, terminate any threats, and secure the building. MARSOC managed to terminate many of the soldiers saving many officials who hid themselves or taken hostage. In the aftermath, CIA and FBI have investigated the incident and determined that it’s a attack from multiple unknown parties as the bodies of the soldiers may have connections to some terrorist group outside the US.

This have left people to speculate and have distrust towards the US Government then claiming that its an inside job or Pax Armada has done the attack.
