Description:

As the title suggests, it makes activities not only cheaper but occur quicker. Most activities have flat costs however a few have a range that will depend on the tier of your titles and how much land you control.

I found the gold cost of everything in the game to be ridiculous. Gold is not equivalent to pounds, euros, or dollars and yet the game acts like it is. Gold was a rare increment used when dealing with money, with silver and copper being more commonly used currency. And although there is a mod out to make silver the currently used instead of gold, I still didn’t find it a fitting alternative without entirely reworking the whole economy.

I also found the time that it takes for activities to complete to be insane, with most taking a year. There is no way that an activity should leave you indisposed for nearly a whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ year, during which your schemes are paused and you can’t go to war.

So, this is my small attempt to fix activities. If you feel any of these prices are too inaccurate historically, then please let me know along with (if possible) sources so that I can correct it ~

Other Features

  • Activities can be started while at war. I recommend using this mod with Declare War with Raised Army to further get rid of war restrictions.
  • Activities can be started and attended younger. Playing a young character will now be less boring.
  • Unlanded will have access to a few more activities.
  • Prerequisites for many activities have been removed. There shouldn’t be any reason that anyone can’t go for a hike nor any ruler not be able to inspect their lands.
  • Chariot races have been added to Trojan, Roman, Macedonian, Assyrian, and Egyptian cultures in addition to Greek cultures. Historically they also had chariot races and so I included them. I did play with the idea of making it possible for the descendant cultures (such as Italian, Armenian, Sardinian, Sicilian, Cisalpine, and Lombard) to also have access them but ultimately decided against it. You’ll see evidence of this in the preview images. Let me know if you think I should add them back in.

Load order
My mods overwrite as little as possible. So, it’s generally a good idea to have them at the bottom of your load order, or as low as possible.

  • other mods
  • Cheaper and Quicker Activities
  • Historically Accurate Marriages (if used)
  • mods that modify divorce or elopement

Compatibility
Will conflict with any mods that alter activities. This also makes some changes to some marriage related files, such as: 00_marriage_interactions, 00_marriage_scripted_modifiers, and a small section of 04_ep2_wedding_triggers. Mods modifying divorce or elopement should be compatible as I didn’t change those sections. If you do find there to be a conflict with a major mod, please narrow it down to the specific mod causing the conflict and I’ll see what I can do.
