NnMM+ – Star Names
IMPORTANT: This mod completely replaces the pool of system names (celestial/names.config), meaning it is incompatible with any mod that does the same or similar (for example: Alternate Star Names, Remixed Star Names and Boring Star Names).
This mod is, however, completely compatible with any mod that simply adds extra names via patch – eg. Betabound!, Project Irisil, …uh, that’s all I’m aware of
Bored of the same old star names? Alright. This mod adds EXACTLY 4169 names on top of the existing 586, as well as 764 suffixes on top of the existing 42.
Do some math and that’s… a hell of a lot of possible combinations.
Consider this mod an "ultimate" collection. Or thereabouts.
Many of the names (about 1710) and suffixes (around 500 including triple digit numbers) are borrowed from the three examples listed above as well as FU – but not all the names from the mods have been borrowed, and not all names in this name pack are borrowed.
That said, a lot of my custom, non-borrowed names are referential in one way or another.
And be warned: Some names are dumb. Very dumb.
Note:
If at any point you’d like to remove this mod, please keep in mind that once a name has been generated, that name will stay that way in your universe even after this mod is removed.
This mod will not and cannot change the names of pre-existing systems.
