Broken Flavor
Adds a few unique buildings, cbs and other bonuses to a some tags I played and spiced up for personal use. Now, I personally am a huge fan of the fact that paradox doesn’t add missions to this game as I hated how ridiculous they’ve gotten in eu4… but sometimes I don’t want a ridiculous game, so I made this mod.
Some features are more op than others. AI will not use them.
1. Made it so you can get rid of the hard cultural capacity limit as Rome if you play as it through the event.
This is a tiny update made due to a commenter’s grievance. I just finished with my exams so I can get back into modding but I first want some time to just play the game for a bit and catch up with updates before I start adding more stuff.
For the record my next focus is likely to be either Prussia/Germany or the Nordics since there are I think 2 mods which expand the Norse religion but I will still keep fixing issues I find or are reported with Rome and may add stuff for it if I get inspiration.
I do plan on adding an event in case Carthage forms but in my game Tunis is kaput so it would be annoying to test.
1. Augustus was crowned Emperor of Rome and as soon as it happened he along with a small stack of legionaries where transported in time to 1337. (Adds an event that will spawn Rome and let you play as them, type "event fl_ch_events_rome.1" in the console)
2. Added a "Roman" culture with Latin as its language so now you don’t lose peasants satisfaction for having Latin as your court language. Also your religion will be Hellenic so it is recommended that you play with Hellenism Revived mod.
3. A unique building "Colonia". It can be built in non Roman provinces. It boosts assimilation, conversion and if built on vassal land, annexation speed. Also, if built on vassal land it will convert the vassal itself into Roman culture and prevent them from changing back for 50 years. This building will be auto-destroyed if you own the location and its dominant culture is Roman.
4. A unique building for the location of Rome "Ostia naval base". It massively boosts Rome’s harbour capacity so it’s not such a bad capital anymore
5. Unique Roman manpower buildings that let you recruit more legionaries. You need to research vanilla manpower building advances to unlock them.
6. A unique building "Roman Legion Headquarters" that makes it possible to build Roman manpower building in an area.
7. A bunch of Hellenic temples which give various scaling bonuses per temple (max x10).
8. A unique building "Slave Estate" which boosts rgo output
9. A unique government reform "Roman Empire"
10. A unique building "The Roman Senate" which gives nice bonuses
11. Hellenics can now enslave pops
p.s. if you don’t like the Roman recruitment system which disables levies in exchange for op regulars or having your cultural capacity be permanently stuck at 0 you can remove the government reforms which add these restrictions.
1. A -25% cost and antagonism cb on everyone.
1. A run file "fixJapan.txt" which will change your colour, tag and flag into the ones similar to eu4. Will also change your tag so that you can use other bonuses.
2. A change to customizable localisation so that now if you unify Japan as a one of the Yamato Court guys you are called "Japanese Empire" and not "Japanese Court".
3. A cb to annex Korea for half cost (only works for Korean locations)
4. A unique building "Japanese naval base" that you can have one per regions of Japan, Korea and the 3 coastal China regions. This gives big bonuses to the location but most importantly for each of these building you will receive a -0.2 maritime proximity cost reduction.
1. "Assign governor" interaction which you unlock with "Timurid Diwan" government reform now creates a unique "Setrapy" type subject instead of a regular vassal. These are more loyal, cheaper to maintain and faster to annex.
2. A unique building "Ancestral seat of Samarkand" that serves as a second capital
1. A unique cb and peace option that let you quickly subjugate HRE princes.
2. A unique subject type "Prussian fief" created using the added cb. These subjects are more loyal and faster to integrate but will not join your wars.
1. Germany/Prussia (will probably do this next)
2. Nordics (but might do this, the stuff I have planned for Germany is… complicated)
3. (If anyone ever makes a Punic religion mod) Carthage
4. More stuff for Rome (If I get inspiration or someone suggests an idea)
