No diplomatic confederation for AI
This mod removes confederation through diplomacy for AI, but still allows players to confederate as normal and allows the AI to confederate through events or unique mechanics. This makes confederation much less common in the game.
I dislike that after a faction loses it’s primary army it will generally confederate and disappear even though it was not in existential danger and could have quickly recovered. I find the game much more interesting and challenging with more factions to interact with, and pursuing the various techs and missions to unify the game’s realms (such as Bretonnia) is much more satisfying when the factions actually exist long enough to confederate.
I also find the AI alliances that form to be more challenging than a single confederated faction as they can generally field more armies and defend their settlements better.
Note that confederation though unique mechanics (Ogre Kingdoms, Orcs and Goblins, Norsca, etc.) will still occur.
Save game compatible.
