Community Wonders presents… the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, known worldwide for its nearly four-degree lean, the result of an unstable foundation. The tower is situated behind the Pisa Cathedral and is the third-oldest structure in the city’s Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo), after the cathedral and the Pisa Baptistry.
GAMEPLAY EFFECT
Harbors receive an additional +1 Gold from each adjacent District when the City is within 6 tiles of the Leaning Tower. +25% combat experience for all Naval units trained in this city. +100% Tourism pressure from this city towards other civilizations starting from the Modern Era. Requires Harbor and must be built next to City Center.

BACKGROUND
Really the Tower is a symbol of the prosperity and power of the Republic of Pisa which was a maritime merchant and military power more than it has any particular religious significance so I’ve effectively made it a Republic of Pisa Wonder. More interesting this way. The Tower even has boats carved on it. Pisa was one of the four famous Maritime Republics with Venice, Genoa and Amalfi. I could understand a weak argument for it having a Religious effect but a Science effect would be a bit strange. There’s no real evidence that Galileo’s experiment at the Tower happened.
