"Clothes make the man… or robot, in this case."

The core vision of this mod remains unchanged: upgrading and replacing your early-game Service and Harvest bots with highly versatile, late-game Defence and Assault bots that can actually keep your colony running.

However, due to hard-coded game engine limitations regarding robot equipment and mod compatibility, the armor and tool mechanics have been entirely overhauled. Instead of forcing you to manually micro-manage gear that didn’t scale or play nice with expansions, the bots now come pre-engineered with built-in, automated tactical advantages.

What This Mod Does Now
Service Bots: Retains their core functionality, fully capable of assisting around the base.

Assault Bot: The pinnacle of automated security. Performs all Service and Harvest functions, carries the same built-in Carbon Armor 2.0 defenses, and has received significant internal hardware buffs:

Overclocked Actuators: Greatly increased movement speed.

Integrated Optoelectronics: Completely unaffected by darkness, granting permanent, built-in night vision for 24/7 peak combat efficiency.

Why the Change?
Previously, allowing combat bots to wear physical armor and tools caused massive under-the-hood conflicts. The bonuses wouldn’t apply correctly without low-level Lua scripting that would break every time the base game expanded or another mod was installed.

This update cuts out the clunky micromanagement, guarantees seamless compatibility with all expansions and third-party mods, and delivers the exact same powerhouse combat stats directly into the bots’ base programming. Enjoy a smarter, faster, and truly reasonable robotic workforce!
