Paradox games are masterpieces of strategy, but seeing the same generic event picture for completely different historical moments can break the immersion. Event Pictures Expanded aims to fix this by replacing generic images with high-quality, oil-painting style artwork tailored to specific nations and eras.
This mod doesn’t just add pictures; it visualizes the history you are writing.
The mod is expanding rapidly, now covering the Ottoman Empire, the complete history of England, and the early history of France (1300–1400).
- 687 Unique New Event Pictures:
- Ottoman Empire: 255 custom visuals for flavor events. (+37 new additions, along with 40–50 refreshed and updated visuals)
- England: 239 brand-new visuals for flavor events. (+60 new additions)
- France: 57 new visuals for flavor events. (1300–1400 period completed)
- Random Events: 112 new visuals applicable to every country.
- Consort Events: 24 new visuals for consort-related flavor and interactions.
- Historical Accuracy: All visuals are carefully selected to match the specific historical context of each era.
- Art Style: Every image is crafted in a Classic Oil Painting style to blend seamlessly with the vanilla game’s aesthetic.
This is just the beginning. The mod will continue to deepen and expand to other major powers.
- Update 1 (The French Monarchy): A full visual overhaul for France, focusing on the Hundred Years War and the Rise of Absolutism.
- Update 2 (The Third Rome): Immersive new visuals for Russia and its principalities
- Update 3 (Iberian Wedding): New high-quality visuals for Castile, Aragon, Portugal, and Spain.
