Ice Climbers

Ice Climbers finally descended from the summit and into Rivals of Aether! They come with their familiar moveset from Smash (including a grab), with a few small twists!

Neutral Special
Ice Climber’s NSpecial is the familiar Ice Shot! The icicle is a decent projectile that triggers freeze, flinches opponents, and can even block some weaker projectiles. Unlike it’s Smash version it can be angled slightly, and if both climbers are together it can also be charged to release a bigger icicle!

Side Special
For FSpecial, Ice Climbers do their Squall Hammer, a good multihit attack that can also rise if you hold the button! When both climbers use it together, it’s more powerful!

Up Special
For USpecial, Ice Climbers use Belay! The leader climber throws the partner upward, hitting opponents and making for a great recovery option! However, when alone, it becomes a small hop instead!

Down Special
DSpecial is Blizzard, as both climbers release a frosty blizzard forward! The blizzard is short-range, but does great damage and freezes opponents!

Grab
An extra move Ice Climbers can use with Attack+Parry! Lets you grab opponents (and projectiles)! When you have something grabbed, you can throw in 4 different directions, or pummel for more damage! Buffering inputs for the partner during a grab also allows for a lot of cool setups!

Ice Climbers also come with their own stage; Summit!

– You can control either Popo or Nana with an option on the CSS! You can also go Sopo/Sona mode, if you want a challenge!
