Old War Stories is a collection of historical events reimagined into single player missions. Instead of massive frontline shifts, this mod focuses on the small stories, the desperate defenses, the impossible breakthroughs, and the individual acts of heroism that defined the conflict.
Lithuania, June 1941
A lone Soviet KV-1 heavy tank has cut off the supply lines of the 6th Panzer Division. For about 24 hours, it has defied anti-tank guns, infantry assaults, and 88mm flak. You will be playing the role of a Soviet tank commander to buy time for your comrades to regroup.
Teterevino, Soviet Union, July 1943
"Operation Citadel" has reached a fever pitch. As the Soviet 2nd Tank Corps launches a massive counter-attack near the Psel River, the Franz Staudegger stands at Teterevino for repairs. With the infantry of the 2nd SS Panzergrenadier Division forced onto the defensive and the rest of his company miles away, you must hold the village against an entire Soviet tank brigade to prevent a catastrophic breakthrough.
I try to keep the missions as historically accurate as possible with the available information. I do plan to add more missions soon as I get time. If you have any ideas, do let me know.
