The Last Roman Reskin
Using textures and skins from Anno Domini 555 Age of Justinian & Anno Domini 536 The Gothic War, this is a reskin of the vanilla units in the The Last Roman DLC. It also includes custom unit cards for every skin, and custom generals and faction leaders for every faction.
Currently (Jan 26) the following rosters have been reskinned:
– Roman Expedition
– Vandali
– Berbers
– Moors
– Visigoths
– Ostrogoths
– Franks
– Mercenaries
Next update: Suebi, Burgundi, Lombards, other minor factions done

Load ABOVE parts 2, 3 and 4 of Age of Justinian 555
Switch OFF AD: 536 The Gothic War & AD: 555 The Age of Justinian
This is a purely cosmetic reskin and no other files have been touched, making it compatible with a vast selection of other mods (camera, TPY, unit size, battle balance, terrain & lighting, renaming. etc).
– Age of Justinian or The Gothic War – this is a separate mod designed to improve the vanilla experience
– custom units mods
– other reskins
– other overhaul mods with unit and roster changes and reskins like Radious or Fall of the Eagles
Some units might remain vanilla or have texture oddities if you use bug fix mods, though it should still be 99% compatible and won’t cause crashes.
The same skins have been added to the Anno Domini: 536 The Gothic War pack alongside custom battle faction unlocks for some of The Last Roman DLC minor factions. However, there are some minor battle balance changes due to sharing the pack files – so use this separate pack if you prefer 100% vanilla balance or want to use other mods alongside it.
- Juanplay for creating the original models for these reskins. Any boo boos and inaccuracies are on me (I had to make quite a few changes to make the skins consistent with the vanilla stats, weaponry and armour)
