Description

This mod adding to game NPC AI based on Infected simulation. So its completely different than any other AI mods using player simulation. Big benefit is very low FPS consumption when compare to player based AI. Mod aiming to server admins which dont like lot of dependencies and want lightweight and fun AI mod.

Mod is far from be complete, there are still lot of things to do, but I wanted to release it early because I would like get feedback , new ideas and proposals from you players and admins. Keep in mind there can be some bugs or problems, but do not hesitate and report it on my discord. All bug reports and proposal can help improve this mod.

Dont worry those NPCs not shooting thru walls, not giving headshots from 1km range and sometimes they are kinda dumb. Yes they are not soldiers, not maintaining formation, but who cares? They behave more like players, unpredictable and sometimes dumb.

With Infected simulation there are lot of limitations, but we really not need all features which players have and due this we can save lot of server power.

Due limitations of infected simulation are recognized only rifles and pistols in hands, rest of items is set as onehand for now.

In future will be added more features, so stay tuned!

Main Features

– AI patrols even with dogs (when dog mod installed)
– AI snipers
– AI NPC near helicrashes
– Static NPC (basically TalkingNPC features with sound and emotes)
– trigger spawn using SpawnerBubaku (when group name and trigger name match)

Configuration

At first run mod will create json configs which are almost self-explainable. With mod are also shipped some default example configs for various maps. Further help you can get on discord, see below.
You can setup loadouts, weapons, waypoints, triggers for snipers… Explained config is shipped with mod in mod folder.

You can define patrols of Bandits or Guards factions. Right now Bandits attacking only players and can have dog in patrol (when dog mod installed), Guards attacking Zeds, Predators and players only when they raised weapon or even hands. Purpose of snipers is cover some military areas and shoot to all players who enter trigger zone. For easy setup of trigger zone you can show it visually in game. Static NPCs have same functionality like old TalkingNPC mod (triggers, sounds, animations) and they can be used in trader areas, safe zones and so on. Later will be added more emotes and animations to those static NPCs.
