Remaster of BMEffectUpdate. Credits to BMP for making the original mod.
Requires MTMT VFX Core to function.
Pretty much all VFX from the old mods have been redone, so don’t expect an exact copy.
This mod replaces most of the default muzzle VFX, this includes:
- APS – pure gunpowder, pure railgun and hybrid
- CRAM cannons
- Pulse and continuous lasers
- PACs
Some weapons also received new SFX, namely pulse lasers, continuous lasers and PACs.

- There exists a bug with continuous lasers that make them display inaccurately in a small number of cases. This does not affect actual gameplay, just a visual bug.
- There has been reports of the mod not working on Linux and Mac, so if you’re on those platform it might not run. On Linux particularly, the textures will be broken. I might not be able to fix bugs for these two platforms (the mod was made on Windows).
- VFX when interacting with Render Distance mod will create square wakes, not exactly my job to fix this one.
The mod is tested to run fine on Windows.

Massive thanks and credits to BMP (aka BeamMan) for making the original mod. It inspired me to revive it over the span of a month or two, resulting in this (and the dependency mod) being made.
Note that all assets used are either made by me, open-sourced or BMP‘s, all of which made available in the GitHub repository. Scripts from the old mod are all entirely scrapped or rewritten, due to Gladyon‘s mod ProtecTechTools becoming deprecated.
