The Dawnless Days: Flames of the North 1.0.3
This is the new home of the Flames of the North submod for the Dawnless Days. The original concept for this mod comes from Godslionsingh, MrFernoGames, and Farfadet. All credit for it goes to them and thanks to MrFernoGames for allowing me to upload this. I will be updating and working on this mod here until if or when the original creators want to come back, or I myself run out of time and interest to work on it.
Flames of the North is a submod focused on the wars in the north between Angmar and Arnor that happened from 1300 TA to 1975 TA, ending about 1000 years before the war of the ring. These wars resulted in the collapse of Arnor and its splinter kingdoms and the beginning of the rangers that Aragorn comes from. The mod has 6 factions currently and a large number of units.
Load Order: This mod can be loaded anywhere above TDD packs. It should work with pretty much every other submod as all it does is add factions and units but be aware of other submods load order recommendations.

What I have done:
I have done many things to bring this mod up to date for the Dawnless Days 1.0.1
– I went through and updated the models for practically every unit in the mod. Angmar and Rhudaur have both been completely fixed with all of their former visual bugs gone.
– I have introduced some new units to the different factions.
– I have rebalanced and adjusted the stats and prices for every unit in this mod.
– I have made a few minor name changes to units in the mod.
– I completely reorganized the pack file for this mod removing all of the unnecessary bloat from it reducing the file size greatly.
– Many other minor changes.
Known Issues:
– Unit Cards. I am aware that right now the units cards are very outdated and don’t represent their units very well. This is being worked on and unit cards will be updated as they come available.
Future Plans:
Right now the only plans for the future are to continue to add more units and possibly even more factions depending on the time I have and how I want the mod to proceed. Any plans may also change if the original modders decide to come back. As for the campaign any addition of units from this mod to it would not happen until at the very least Eriador is added by the main mod. Even once that eventually happens it still wouldn’t make much sense for any of these factions to be in the main mod as they were not around during the time period the campaign is set. Maybe one day there will be a campaign specifically for this mod but any of that is so far away that there is really no point in talking about it. So please do not ask me about adding it to the campaign until at the very least Eriador is added.
