I’ve been wanting to do Mutt & Junkyard since my first mod and I finally feel like they are in a playable state. Junkyard is based on the hyena model and since hyenas were never intended to be hirable mercs it causes some quirks/problems.
– Junkyard will refuse to be hired without Mutt.
– Junkyard cannot stealth! It is highly recommended to keep him back when performing stealth operations. Mutt will even remind you to do this 🙂
– Junkyard cannot jump up 2 floors high. This makes him unable to continue on some maps.
– When changing stances as a group you may need to deselect Junkyard as hyenas do not have other stances and it can hang up commanding human units. This seems to only happen initially, then once grouped up again they all respond normally, even with Junkyard in the group selection.
– Junkyard may get hung up when attacking when he is selected first in a combat round. Selecting another merc and then back to Junkyard seems to allow him to behave normally. Right-clicking on the enemy seems to help too for some reason. This is being investigated and hopefully will get resolved soon because it is quite annoying!
– With this mod, ALL hyena movement speed has been increased so Junkyard can roll with the team. This includes in game enemy hyenas so be careful out there! This does not affect in combat movement.
